We provide care and support for clients in their own homes, single and double handed calls. The service provides care 24 hours a day across 6 Departments.
We are currently looking for an Independent Support Workers (carers) who can work in our Residential Home in Corringham, our Extra Care Service in Grays or within our Community Homecare teams throughout Thurrock. We also regularly require casual staff to support with staff absence – if you think you could support us working alongside experienced staff then please apply.
The Teams and shifts we cover are:-
- Collins House Care Home in Corringham
- Night Rota contracts cover shifts from 9pm until 7.30,
- Day Rota contracts cover a mix of Early (7 am to 3pm) and Late (2pm to 10pm)
- Extra Care Housing in Grays
- Night Rota contracts cover shifts from 9pm until 7.30,
- Day Rota contracts cover a mix of Early (7 am to 12 or 3pm) and Late (3pm to 11pm)
- Community Homecare throughout Thurrock
- Day Rota contracts cover a mix of Early (6 am to 2pm) and Late (3pm to 11pm)
- Friendship at Home throughout Thurrock
- Day Rota contracts 9am to 5pm – Monday to Friday
- Friendship Club in Grays throughout Thurrock
- Day Rota contracts 9am to 5pm – Monday to Friday
- Provider Bank – all Teams
- This team provides casual ISW’s to cover all the teams and sites when they are available to work – no fixed rota is agreed.
Teams 1 to 4 require staff to cover weekend shifts on all rotas.

Full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle required for working in the Community – mileage paid at 45p per mile.
The Council supports the Covid-19 vaccination programme and encourages staff delivering front-line care services to take up the offer of double vaccination.
An Enhanced with Adults barred DBS check will be required for this role.
