NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
These posts are Fixed Term from Mid-August 2023 to end of December 2023, working 37.5 hours, Mon to Fri form 08.30 to 16.30. You may be required to work occasional evening and weekend work to meet the needs of the service and also to work cross boundary over NHS GGC.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 7 x Band 2 Admin Assistants to join the Childhood Immunisation Team (schools) to assist in the delivery the National School Immunisation Programme for the Flu campaign to school aged children across NHS GGC. Providing a Childhood Immunisation Service is fundamental in taking forward the Public Health Agenda which aims to maximize the health and wellbeing of all school aged children and young people and also contributes to the reduction of health inequalities as well as achieving National and Local health objectives through the focus on preventative care.
Within this role you will support the four school immunisation teams and you will be tasked with ordering and delivery of sundries, collecting/delivery of consent forms, telephoning parents, crowd control during the school immunisation sessions and any other duties as deemed by the Nurse Coordinator. You will work in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies.
