IDMP Data Process Expert

You will be responsible for supporting the Global Supply Chain (GSC) data management implementation of IDMP standards in GSK. IDMP standards will enable GSK to uniquely identify and describe medicinal products with consistent documentation, coding and exchange of product information between global regulators, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors through the internationally adopted framework.

In This Role:

  • Partner closely with data generators, scientific experts, data managers, data scientists, Tech and other business stakeholders to understand or define business rules, supporting Data Quality Standards and rules for data fields within IDMP Scope
  • Contribute to development of IDMP data standards and governance definition, implementation and support including the development and maintenance of associated metadata, documents, business rules and guidelines
  • Determine impact of issues or requests on other systems and the business value of data quality improvements.
  • Responsible for identifying and resolving data issues. Where not possible to resolve, the role is responsible for escalating data issues, with supporting impact assessments and options/proposals to resolve, through the defined issue escalation process.
  • Builds, maintains, and uses the knowledge, tools, forums, templates, roles, policies, processes, guidance, enhancements and escalation paths provided to execute Data Management to the approved IDMP data standards, for example Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Data Collection Forms (DCFs) within area of responsibility.
  • Enriches requests for data within their area of expertise and is responsible for that part of the request.
  • Support IDMP data integration into existing and future system landscapes
  • Play an active role in the Data Governance framework including participation in the relevant Governance Boards, Councils and Forums to escalate and resolve data issues, drive data quality and business process improvements and share knowledge.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulatory environment
  • Evidence of experience and knowledge in delivery of operational service oversight.
  • Proven expertise in the areas of data governance, analytics in a multi-level organisation
  • Ability to resolve problems with thoughtful use of knowledge, information and networks
  • Educated to degree level or PG qualification
  • 5+ years working in the Supply Chain and data or an IT resolving area role
  • To have a foundation of knowledge and understanding in systems and processes related to manufacturing supply chain

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Knowledge and use of supply chain systems and master data management
  • Understanding of system interaction and as well as data flow between entities
  • Experience and use of data governance tools and methodologies
  • Experience working across multiple departments and levels
  • Up-to-date experience and expertise in data and information management, quality and governance with a strong focus on strategy and delivery.
  • Knowledge of IDMP guidelines & ISO standards would be an advantage
