Job description
We are looking for an ID Laboratory Scientist to join our Identification Operations department to continue delivering industry leading levels of quality and service to our extensive range of customers including local authority children’s services teams, family & immigration law solicitors and the general public.
The successful candidate will be working in our state-of-the-art laboratory in Abingdon where you will be responsible for receiving, extracting and processing DNA from samples, operating to GLP standards in all procedures.
You will be educated to a minimum of ‘A’ level, preferably BSC or HND in Molecular Biology or Applied Biology subject. Previous laboratory experience especially in DNA/PCR would be an advantage.
The suitable applicant will have the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You will be flexible and have great attention to detail, accurate record keeping and concern for impact. You will also have good interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work well under pressure to strict deadlines.
