The team is formed by IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM Http Server, Banksphere experts providing support and management of java-based applications.
The main responsibility is to ensure the availability and performance of all aspects of the WebSphere and Banksphere infrastructure, both Production and Pre-Production used within SAN UK.
The IBM WebSphere Administrator will be working in a complex environment and will be responsible for incident, problem resolution and building and upgrading WebSphere Application Server 8.5 and 9.
The different you’ll make
Providing support and management for the front end applications and Portals (Alhambra) that access the core Banking Platform (Partenon) for all Santander Banks in the UK.
Working in a complex environment, responsible for incident and problem resolution and installing and building WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.x, 7.x and 6.x
Working within BankSphere support, so as to be able to identify and solve BKS app errors.
Working in an established and experienced technical team.
What you’ll bring
Experience as IBM WebSphere Administrator (IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server) and working with Linux Servers
Good analytic troubleshooting skilled required diagnose problems and understand flows.
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines at times.
Availability to cover On-call rotas to deliver 24x7 incident response and resolution.
It would also be nice for you to have
Knowledge of scripting (Ansible, wsadmin, python, rundeck, etc..).
Experience with Dynatrace tool to monitor is an advantage.

This role is based in Milton Keynes, and you will be expected to spend 40% of your time in this office
You must be available to cover On-call rotas to deliver 24x7 incident response and resolution.
