Serpecon is seeking a Part Time HR Assistant to provide an effective and efficient HR service. You will be part of a team based at the Head office location in Fareham.
The role
As the HR Assistant, you will support Serpecon in the daily administration of its activities. You will assist with employee recruitment, training and staff relations. As Serpecon’s HR Assistant, you will help create a productive work environment and compile and maintain records.
Responsibilities
· Assisting HR with the process of recruitment, including vetting candidates, assisting with interviews and issuing employment contracts
· Compiling and maintaining paper, digital and electronic employee records, including holiday and sickness leaves
· Writing and submitting reports on general HR activities
· Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency
· Administration of staff records and inputting into the database
· Support with all aspects of employee relations issues
· Support the Learning and Development of staff
· Manage all right to work status
· Liaise with our external HR advisers as and when required
· Processing new starters and leavers
· Managing sensitive and confidential information
· Employee Communication
· Draft employee letters in relation to any salary, disciplinary, sickness or contract related issues

· Previous experience within a HR Administration role would be an advantage
· Ability to build and maintain excellent and credible relationships with managers and employees
· Administrative and clerical skills, including report writing, record keeping and scheduling
· Excellent organisational skills
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
· Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and exercise clear judgment
· Good team worker but able to work autonomously

Hours
Full Time or Part-time hours: minimum 25 per week (Can be flexible with full or part time and times of work)
Salary
£20,000-£22,000 (FTE)
