We deliver this support across England and Wales and employ in the region of 7,000 colleagues the majority of whom deliver front line support to assist people to live the life they choose. We are looking for a qualified and highly experienced HR professional to join our senior HR team reporting to the Executive Director of People and Organisational Development. The post will be the HR Business partner for our back-office functions working with senior colleagues and executives to ensure that our operational colleagues have the best possible support to carry out their roles. The successful candidate will manage a small team of HR Officers and administrators and is responsible for our HR policy and practice framework and key wellbeing activities such as our mental health first aiders and menopause champions. This is a varied role supporting organisational change but also having a strategic policy role.

The HR Services Manager will be responsible for the delivery of an effective, exemplar HR service to the organisation its leaders, managers and employees. Particular responsibility for providing a professional HR service to Business Support, and ensuring that employee records are accurately maintained, HR policies and procedures are up to date and adhere to current employment legislation.
The hours available are 22.5 a week which can be worked flexibly, home based. The full-time salary is £57,885, pro-rata salary of £34,731.

About the role
Your main duties will include:
Advise managers and Executive Directors on all employee relations matters, ensuring issues are dealt with speedily and at the lowest possible level and ensuring risks are managed at all times.
Lead on the development, creation and implementation of HR policies, template letters, manager's guides, contracts of employment and other associated HR templates that meet legislative requirements and best practice and that any ensure that training requirements from the policies are understood and met.
Ensure effective management of the HR budget areas that are within the responsibilities of this post.
Oversee the work of our mental health first aiders and menopause champion's network, developing the approach in line with organisational requirements and best practice.
About you
The successful applicant will have:
Able to demonstrate experience in management positions, including planning, budgeting, evaluating and change management.
To be willing to work across the organisation, attend meeting which may require overnight stays.
Possess excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
Able to demonstrate a good understanding of HR issues relating to Equality Diversity and Inclusion and how this relates to the HR policy & strategy.
