DESCRIPTION
The Investment Banking / M&A Team is responsible for structuring and executing a wide range of complex domestic and international transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, IPOs, capital raisings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, spin-offs, exchange offers, leveraged buyouts and defences against unsolicited takeover attempts. The team also establishes and maintains strategic dialogues with existing and potential clients, provides financial advice and assists clients in achieving short- and long-term strategic objectives. The Team is oriented to provide the best solution for each individual client and works closely with Industry Teams and other Product Group Areas to best serve clients.
An Executive Director's responsibilities include:
- Evaluating clients’ strategic landscape and make recommendations on potential strategic actions.
- Advising clients of the investment banking division on a broad range of transactions
- Analysing and advising on a broad range of financial matters to companies’ managements, boards and shareholders and coordinate with legal, regulatory, accounting and other advisors.
- Identifying and initiating new domestic and international banking relationships.
- Developing and maintaining key business relationships with senior corporate management and board of directors.
- Supervising Associates and Analysts on various banking transactions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Top class postgraduate degree in or related to finance from a leading university
- Strong track record of investment banking experience with a leading investment bank or boutique
- Strong familiarity with the sector/region/product is essential
- Strong experience in Banking working with multinational corporate clients for a global financial services firm
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong people management skills – able to motivate, direct and empower team members through ongoing feedback and coaching.
