About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our charity and contribute to our aim of supporting youth to fulfil their best potential.
As the HR Manager, you will be tasked with the day-to-day management of the HR team functions. Teenage Helpline is currently going through sustained growth, which means we are currently onboarding vast numbers of new starters, which is one part of the team’s responsibilities. The role also includes but is not limited to; managing the wider efforts of the HR team and keeping track of their workload, creating and developing wider HR policies, to reflect the growth that the charity has undertaken in the past 2 years and communicating with the various departments within the charity to ensure best practice on all HR relevant aspects.
This fantastic opportunity will allow you to help to build a stronger, wider culture within the charity and you will have significant freedom given to you to assess the current running of the HR team and be allowed to make amendments where you deem necessary.
As the charity is continuing to grow at a vast pace, your position will be invaluable, alongside our other management workforce to ensure Teenage Helpline is efficient and supports their workforce effectively.
Previous HR experience is compulsory; HR management experience would be ideal, however not mandatory as we are happy to give a candidate with the right outlook the chance to grow whilst in-role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day running of Teenage Helpline HR team
- Maintaining and managing the overreaching HR operations within the charity
- Conducting outreach to educational settings through recruitment fairs and following the strategy as discussed with the People Operations Manager and Partnerships Strategy Advisor.
- Provide fresh new ideas to finetune our operation.
- Prioritise daily tasks whilst accounting for unforeseen challenges
- Encourage a positive environment, supporting a safe and productive workplace.
Skills / Qualifications :
- Level 5 or above CPD qualification, however experience will be acceptable on a case-by-case basis.
