Summary

This is a rolling advert therefore shortlisting and interviews will take place throughout the duration of the advertising period. We are looking to recruit Swimming Teachers across various centres to join our passionate and friendly teams on permanent variable or casual contracts.

  • Lime Kiln Leisure Centre, Royal Wotton Bassett

  • Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre, Salisbury

  • Tidworth Leisure Centre

  • Trowbridge Sport Centre

  • Warminster Sport Centre

  • Devizes Leisure Centre

  • Westbury Swimming Pool


All contracts are either casual or variable; both zero hour contracts.

We provide a high standard of coaching within a 50 week swim school, term time school swimming programme or 1-1 tuition environments.

About the role

The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for teaching safe, fun, effective and enjoyable classes, consistent with standards set out within our normal operating procedures.

Key responsibilities include planning sessions in line within guidance and industry standards with the National Plan for Teaching Swimming or schools' curriculum.

About you

With a level 2 or above Swim England swimming teacher qualification or equivalent, you should have experience of teaching children within a leisure environment. Those who do not hold a level 2 or above Swim England swimming teacher qualification may be considered for the post if you hold a minimum of a level 1 qualification and can evidence that you are booked onto a level 2 course to complete your qualification.

You will have awareness of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and be able use your excellent communication and organisational skills to maintain customer focus. You will also be responsible for maintaining all relevant qualifications and attending training sessions as part of normal working arrangements.

This post receives a 10% market supplement payment for Level 2 Swim Teachers which is reviewed annually.

Interviews can be held both virtually on Microsoft Teams and in person, if your interview is virtual, candidates will be sent a link before the interview to download the Teams App. All current public health advice is followed for candidate and employee safety.
