Accounting/HR Manager
MidSchoolMath is a growing leader in math curriculum. Our team is dedicated to changing how math is taught through core curriculum and professional development.
As an Accounting/HR Manager, you will work directly with the co-founder (CPA/CMA) to manage all financial/human resource activities and reporting.
Candidate Preferences:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 8-12 years experience in accounting
- Experience in grant accounting (we just won a NSF grant!)
- Familiarity with New Mexico gross receipts tax (or other state equivalent)
- Familiarity with New Mexico Film Tax Credits (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel & Expensify
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, and month-end close.
- Oversee company credit cards spend and reconciliations.
- Administrate financial, grant and tax reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate record keeping.
- Administrate new employee/independent contractor process and documentation.
- Perform other related duties and special projects, as needed.
