Job: Customs Clerk

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Salary: £25,000-£29,500

Hours: Mon-Fri 40 Hours/Week

We target the top end of the logistics value-chain and our passion is to solve our customers logistics problems. We are in the top 50 Logistics Companies in the UK with annual turnover in excess of £75m. With a base in 5 European countries and a growing presence in mainland Europe we are looking for a Customs Clerk to support our Global Solutions Team.

This is a key appointment, and the incoming individual must be able to demonstrate extremely high levels of attention to detail and be the right fit in terms of chemistry, character and outlook. The right individual will have experience working with data, inputting information and providing administrative support.

You must have a Right To Work in the UK and a 5 year checkable work/study history.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Issuing clearance instructions
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Identifying customs process improvements
• Process and manage import/export amendments.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a high level of attention to detail
• Be able to prioritise and organise workload to tight deadlines
• Be IT literate, ideally with experience of customs software (Sequoia, NTCS, Boxtop, CHIEF etc)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£29,500.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Luton, LU2 9LY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Data entry: 1 year (preferred)
