ST DUNSTAN'S COLLEGE
Full Time London, England 45000 - 40000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

The St Dunstan's Community of Schools is an ambitious, forward-thinking group of schools that inspires and supports individuals to thrive. Set in the heart of south-east London, our co-educational schools provide an education for children from 2 and a half to 18 that champions individuality through a broad, liberal, and academically exciting education, whilst retaining our historic and valued traditions.

Our vibrant corner of south-east London presents us with a diversity we embrace and celebrate, allowing for all manner of cultures, views and styles. Our co-educational setting introduces pupils to the realities of life, staving-off gender stereotypes, and creating well-balanced, grounded young people.

We are looking for a People Operations Advisor to provide a high quality, efficient and timely people service to all Schools in the group, acting as first point of contact for all employee relations casework and advice and supporting managers with recruitment and onboarding.

CIPD level 5 qualification (or equivalent), you will have suitable experience of working in an HR Advisor capacity and a successful track record of providing HR advice on employment matters to managers and in leading on recruitment.

For full details and how to apply, please go to www.stdunstans.org.uk/vacancies

The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post. As this role involves 'regulated activity' with children the successful applicant will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure application. Employment will be conditional upon the College being satisfied with the result of the Enhanced DBS check and the outcome of all other checks.

The College will also carry out a check of the Children's Barred List on the successful applicant. Applicants should be aware that it is unlawful for the College to employ anyone to work with children if they are barred from doing so, and it is a criminal offence for a person to apply to work with children if they are barred from doing so.

This role is also exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the College is therefore permitted to ask shortlisted applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.

St Dunstan’s Trustee Limited (registered number 14407568) on behalf of St Dunstan’s Educational Foundation (registered number 312747).
