We have a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in starting a HR career on the following apprenticeship:
- HR Support Level 3
This position reports to the HR Operations Team Lead and will be responsible for providing a high-quality, confidential, and customer-focused HR administration service and supporting our wider HR Operations team covering day-to-day HR queries and processes.
Please note: this position is available on a fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship course.
What will you be doing?
As a HR Support Apprentice within this team, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Working towards a Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship.
- Providing an accurate and timely HR administration service covering the full employee life cycle including processing new joiners, job changes, and leavers.
- Carrying out Right to Work and follow-up checks to verify new starter’s work eligibility and maintain all work eligibility documents in accordance with GDPR.
- Accurately administering changes relating to the employee lifecycle, and create new accounts, in our HR system (Cascade).
- Working closely with the payroll team to ensure that all changes affecting payroll are processed accurately and in time for monthly cut-offs.
- Working with wider HR Operations team to ensure all employees are onboarded successfully, including processing the new starter in myOnboarding, communicating with IT to ensure the new starter receives the necessary equipment and accesses, and completing new hire onboarding checks.
- Managing mail merge and bulk admin tasks including pay scale letters and salary review letters.
- Responding to basic HR queries on a day-today basis.
- Organising and maintaining onboarding presentation to employees across the organisation on a weekly basis.
- Ad-hoc administration work as requested.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone with the following skills, competencies and experience:
- Educated to GCSE grades C or above in Maths and English.
- Confident using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint
- Proactive attitude with a desire to learn
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with stakeholders at all levels
- Very strong organisational and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Administration experience (desirable).
