Position Details:
- Title: Human Resources Generalist
- Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this role will have 5-7 years of HR experience, preferably supporting teams in a manufacturing/warehouse environment, including salaried and hourly employees on various work shifts. Strong recruiting and employee lifecycle experience highly desired.
- Schedule: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, M-F

Position Overview/Job Description:
The HR Generalist performs duties at the professional level to support company goals and objectives in some or all the following functional areas: employee relations, training, recruiting, leave administration, compliance, benefits administration, etc. This position requires a focus on detailed oriented work and enjoy interacting with employees and supporting the HR role in a positive, collaborative environment.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the first level of contact for employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and managers
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, such as recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, leave administration, employment files and confidential documents within legal compliance standards, HR related reports as needed, and participates in disciplinary matters, investigations, terminations, and unemployment claims.
- Gathers, analyzes, and interprets HR related data for report generation and management decision making, links HR action plans with business needs
- Creates positive change through coaching, counseling, and influencing skills
- Monitors employee climate to identify issues/trends; counsel managers on identifying issues and implementing corrective actions, while also seeking opportunities to increase engagement
- Works with HR Director on matters of termination of employees; addresses employee relations issues, such as allegations, complaints, or other concerns brought up from employees
- Engages in overall talent practices including workforce planning, success profiling, onboarding, talent development and management, retention, and engagement programs
- Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action.
- Maintains employee personnel files.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- May be assigned projects and/or other duties outside of normal job functions to meet the needs and demands of the business.
Qualifications:
- Minimum years' experience: 3, Preferred years' experience: 5-7
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Broad HR Generalist skills, including recruiting, employee relations, leave administration, compensation and benefits, local and federal law knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a professional, positive, courteous manner at all times with all levels.
- Detail-orientated, organized, with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with a team, with excellent project management skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to establish priorities and effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Strong technical aptitude utilizing multiple web-based applications, HRIS, Applicant Tracking and Microsoft Office Suite
- May need to support the business on occasional weekends and evenings.
Education/Certifications:
- BS in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent HR experience
- PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SCP - preferred

- Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb. The employee must have the ability to frequently lift/move up to 15 pounds.
- Work Environment: This position requires one to work both in an office environment and a manufacturing facility. There is a moderate level of noise, heat, cold, dust, dirt and fumes in the manufacturing setting. Employee may be exposed to varying temperatures.
