We are currently recruiting…

… experienced, dynamic, passionate & proactive HR Business Partners to join the People Service Team at Lancashire County Council. It's an incredibly exciting time to join us as we're just at the start of a transformation journey from Human Resources to 'People Services'. We have 3 roles available:

Role 1 : Employee Relations Specialist (37 hrs)

Role 2 : Employee Relations & Policy Specialist (37 hrs)

Role 3 : Employee Relations Specialist (22.2 hrs – Tues/Thurs/Fri)

The transformation that we're currently undertaking means that these roles are all 12-month FTC, with potential to become permanent depending on the final structure of the service and the opportunities it creates.

What we are looking for…

Knowledge & Skills…

We'd like you to have experience of advising on a range of workforce and employee relations issues, someone who can demonstrate effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels and collaborate effectively. We need you to have excellent influencing, persuading and coaching skills so you can support & engage with those you work with to make the best decisions possible. We'd like you to be people centric, encouraging compassionate leadership but still focused on timely results, and ensuring that we take a people first approach, providing risk-based advice, to deliver both for the organisation and the people within it.

You will need to have sound knowledge of up-to-date employment law, effective people management practices and demonstrable recent experience of performing successfully in a similar role.
