Job title: HR Assistant
Grade: UE04 Salary: £23,144 - £25138
Department : HR Operations, Human Resources, CSG
Contract Type: Open Ended - Full Time 35 hrs Per Week
We are looking for a customer-focused HR Assistant, you will contribute to the ongoing transformation of HR within the University and develop your generalist HR skills. As a HR Assistant you will administer HR lifecycle processes; administer all payments and claims for the Casual payroll; provide Right to Work checks for both Main and Casual payroll; deal with ad hoc and routine HR queries via workflow Service Requests, input and maintain data ensuring data integrity of HR Systems, and support the co-ordination and administration of the reward panels for all Colleges and Professional services groups.
This post combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Your skills and attributes for success:
- Typically 2 years’ relevant work experience in a customer facing role, ideally work experience in a HR role
- Excellent customer service skills with proven experience of delivering a professional, high quality, customer focused service
- The ability to organise time effectively to manage your own workload and priorities to achieve deadlines
- Competent oral and written communication skills (to produce reports, correspondence, minutes, agendas, documentation) with experience in the use of IT software e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Accuracy and attention to detail with experience of handling confidential information
