This is an ideal opportunity for an HR professional looking to develop your career through exposure to the full-breadth of HR. You will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge you gained through your Level 3 CIPD qualification to make a positive impact on the success of future generations.
This is an HR generalist role, with a high degree of responsibility for the Trust’s full HR administration service to its academies and senior management team. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, you will support the Trust to deliver its people vision, strategy and processes. You will be the first line of response for staff on HR issues, liaising with external HR advisory services, senior managers and our-in house payroll team as required. You will also support the development of our new HR Administrator.
This varied role will provide opportunities for personal development, but carries with it a high degree of personal accountability as you will be responsible for all safer recruitment across the Trust. This makes you an integral part of our academies’ success at their Ofsted inspections. For this reason, we require a committed and reliable candidate who has previous experience of safer recruitment. In return for this highly responsible role, you will be afforded a high degree of personal autonomy and flexibility, as well as ongoing support with your own professional development.

You will have:-
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
- Safeguarding experience in the education sector or similar (e.g. health, local authority)
- An understanding of Green/Burgundy Book STPCD and how to work with Unions
- The ability to work effectively within a small team where there is cross over and involvement from others
- An understanding of HR processes particularly disciplinary and capability procedures, the statutory codes and best practice
- Procedural and compliance orientated approach
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy
- Confidence and be capable to give advice, and write formal letters
