Oxford Summer Courses is part of Bridgemark Education, founded by two school friends and Oxford graduates who wanted to open up exceptional educational journeys to more people. In 2021 we ran COVID-compliant in-person courses. Our approach is based on interactive teaching, growth mindsets, small group learning, and tutor autonomy. Job Description
Main duties and responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, diligent and efficient HR Assistant to join our team in an award winning education company. You’ll start on a fixed-term basis to provide key support enabling us to recruit high quality tutors and pastoral care staff or our courses in Oxford, Cambridge and London.
Great recruitment is at the heart of our success. You will be key to our recruitment processes, manage our application pipeline and ensure we maintain our strong policies around safeguarding and safer recruitment.
Main Duties
- Support the delivery of the seasonal HR strategy for our Service Delivery team
- Monitor, track and coordinate applications and interviews
- Provide a prompt and professional response to all applications and queries
- Conduct and document interviews in line with company standards
- Carry out all necessary compliance checks and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate and support Right to Work and DBS document drop in sessions
- Support the onboarding process to ensure all staff are able to work in-line with equal opportunities and safeguarding policies
- Assistance with seasonal staff payroll process
Practical details
- Start date: Immediate start
- Location: Oxford office during peak delivery period
- Contract type: Fixed term contract March - mid-August 2023
- Hours: Part time, equivalent of 3 days per week
- Salary: £11.35 Hourly rate/ FTE £22,870

Minimum requirements
- Experience of HR or working in a HR environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly accurate with attention to detail
- Professional work ethic and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with ability to prioritise
- Able to work well in a team and on own initiative
- Experience of managing a technical environment similar to ours - Google Workspace and CRM
Desirable attributes
