The opportunity…

As the Development Analyst, you’ll be joining a team of 6, who support each other, in understanding our challenges, what our customers need from us, and to create practical applications that solve business needs. The Development Analyst is responsible for support of existing and creation of new EBS tools to value contracts, enable gross margin delivery and fulfil contractual and regulatory obligations. This is achieved through developing digital tools which utilise core systems, industry and pricing data to generate an accurate customer proposition. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that existing tools remain fit for purpose, deliver accurate results and efficient operations. This role is suited to someone with numerical acumen, ability to analyse data to check for errors and inaccuracies, who enjoys problem solving and creating digital/IT solutions.

You’ll thrive on collaboration, engaging with wider teams onshore and offshore. You’ll take accountability for your own deliveries and manage yourself based on outputs. You will have a strong customer focus, making it simple for others and caring deeply about success for your customers and stakeholders.

The role will require ability to manage working capacity to support projects and ad hoc requests, ability to deliver a range of work accurately and to specific deadlines, understanding their value to the business and challenge new requests to ensure value adding work is completed in the most effective way.

Key technical experience required:

  • Strong MS Excel skills and programming skills in VBA
  • Experience in building and supporting tools used by others
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, identifying root causes and offering solutions with ability to analyse data to check for errors and inaccuracies
  • Strong written communication, including the ability to document complex issues and processes in a way that can be understood by a wider audience.

As part of your role you will be expected to learn:
