The Mace Defence business has undergone rapid growth since its inception. Today we advise a range of clients, including governments, front line commands and private sector defence organisations, where we advise on some of the most nationally significant projects.

At Mace Defence, our clients entrust our employees with great responsibility on significant programmes across the project lifecycle where you have the platform to make lasting, tangible improvements to clients’ organisations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning, design, development, testing and implementation of project deliverables that may cover all aspects of commercial management including procurement operations e.g. strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, contract closure, policy and training.
Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders within the client’s organisation and delivering presentations of outcomes.
Acting on behalf of the client in its organisation working on a variety of tasks throughout the contract lifecycle, from pre-sourcing strategy, to contract negotiations and contract management.
Operating as part of a cross-functional team, championing the principles of good contract management and advising other functions on commercial matters as required.
Providing expert knowledge of the principles of contract management including governance, building and maintaining supplier relationships, contract administration, exit and transition.
Providing line management responsibilities for Mace staff to manage their professional development and support the delivery of their own responsibilities.
Supporting business development, practice development and methodology development.
You have a degree qualification and a member of MCIPS, IACCM or a similar professional body. You hold valid UK security clearance, although exceptional candidates will still be considered if valid clearance is not held. You have experience in both an operational background and in consultancy, with the ability not only to think strategically but also to enact the strategy into transactional benefits.
You are digitally savvy, with a high level of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and report writing skills, as well as broad consulting skills which should include interviewing, data analysis and facilitation of client workshops. You can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have experience in commercial, procurement or supply chain in a construction or consultancy background within the defence sector and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
