About The Role
Cala Management Ltd are looking to recruit an HR Assistant to join the team on a fixed term contract until Feb 2024, ideally based near Edinburgh but location can be flexible. We have a flexible working model which supports hybrid and smarter ways of working. Reporting directly to the HR Operations Manager, the successful candidate will support our businesses across the UK & Group teams in a range of administrative and processing tasks.
Main responsibilities will include:
Providing a proactive professional customer support service to employees through Helpdesk queries within agreed timeframes and ensuring more complex queries are actioned by the relevant team member.
Ensuring all data entry tasks on HRe (SD Worx HR & Payroll) are actioned accurately and efficiently, to ensure high standards of data integrity.
Preparing reports for the business, fulfilling any other ad hoc requests for reporting and statistics as required.
Managing end to end processing for all employee lifecycle administration, supporting other People team members as required.
Ensuring all employee changes that have an impact on payroll are accurately and timeously actioned in HRe or processed to Payroll.
Lead and/or support on a variety of HR Projects, seeking to continuously improve systems and processes.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience using all MS Office programmes, in particular, Excel and Word. They will have an interest/previous involvement in HR system maintenance, analytics and providing management information, ensuring data accuracy. Experience in using Payroll or HR Information Systems is advantageous, as is HR Service Desk/First Point of Contact experience. Previous knowledge of HR Operations and Payroll is also desirable.
Experience of working in a busy, fast paced, demanding environment within administration is essential, as is the ability to work independently using own initiative. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required and customer service experience is essential as this is a business facing role. You must be well organised, reliable, and flexible. You must have demonstrable planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Experience of working to tight deadlines is also essential. High levels of accuracy coupled with the ability to maintain records and ensure compliance with relevant data legislation is essential as is the flexibility to work beyond the ‘job description’. We are also looking for someone who demonstrates a positive approach at all times and isn’t afraid to challenge the norm.
