HR Support Apprenticeship

We have an Apprenticeship opportunity at our Central Office on London Road in Grantham. This
Apprenticeship offer a unique opportunity to develop the broad range of skills required for career success in
Human Resources Function. The role will be based within our busy HR department.
Key Responsibilities:
➢ Responsible for collating and inputting the monthly payrolls for 200 employees for submission to
Head of HR for approval in line with payroll cut off timeframes.
➢ Recruitment – preparing job descriptions and posting job adverts, arranging interviews and follow up actions
➢ Prepare commission statements for payroll purposes
➢ Commission and Holiday pay calculations
➢ Prepare draft contracts, variation to contract letters and commission side letters.
➢ First point of contact for initial HR queries, escalate to HR Advisor or Head of HR where necessary
➢ Carry out & provide standard employee references
➢ Minute taking for Disciplinaries/ Grievances and other relevant meetings.
➢ Assist with Budget and Audit prep
➢ Maintaining payroll systems and databases including inputting joiners & resetting users. Granting access.
➢ Setting up manual staff files. All paper filing.
➢ Creating and maintaining holiday plans/ Hierarchy
➢ Preparing salary letters
➢ Preparing offer letters/ replies to resignation letters
➢ Preparing end of probation letters
➢ Keeping the Car Park licences correct and insurances
➢ Corporate eyecare
➢ PDR and 121 admin
➢ General admin, scanning completed payroll
➢ Sending out induction pack to brand managers
➢ Staff Anniversaries and key dates
➢ Dealing with P11’ds and sending out P45’s

Monday - Thursday, 09:00 - 17:30 and Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.
£6.00 per hour (£11,544 per annum)
