Job Title – HR Advisor
Location – Hemel Hempstead
Salary – c£30,000 + benefits
Company – Family owned card retailer, with 50 stores and employing over 400 colleagues
Role – This is a brand new exciting and multi faceted role, which will help to support it’s expansion and to create a designated HR function within the company.
To support the business on HR (and recruitment) matters across its Retail Stores and Head Office (including warehousing and production)
Develop the people agenda across the group, dealing with day-to-day HR matters and recruitment requirements, establish policies and processes, supporting and coaching colleagues to develop themselves and each other.
To manage and support the full lifecycle of all colleagues, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, staff welfare, retention & succession planning, learning & development, and leavers.
About you -
- Proven experience as a generalist HR professional, ideally in a retail environment.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of employment law and ability to provide practical interpretations of legal compliance in order to mitigate risk.
- Exceptional relationship building and communication skills are key within the role.
- Strong influencing skills and a passion for embedding our core values.
- Have a flexible, positive, ‘can do’ attitude.
- Able to manage and influence employees at all levels of the business.
- Be highly organised & PC literate.
- Holds a valid UK Driving license.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
