The PPE and FIT testing Service have been set up as part of the Trusts response to the COVID-19 outbreak and sits within the Infection Prevention & Control Team. The service ensures that personal protective equipment (PPE) and restricted medical devices are provided for staff and services throughout Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The fit testing role is essential and highly valued, as such you will provide full service for all staff around personal protective equipment fit testing, use and maintenance of respiratory equipment to help maintain staff safety. You will be working with other members of the team to establish and maintain an efficient and effective service.
We are looking for exceptional people to join our team. We have a part time band 3 position with a flexible 30 hrs available.
You will work within an existing rolling FIT Testing programme which will support Divisional and Directorate teams to have oversight of the FIT Testing status of their staff.
The role involves excellent organisational skills for administrative duties such as record keeping and database entry in a timely and correct manner to align with statutory mandatory training at the trust.
The role will also include an element of audit of practice to ensure continued embedding of safe use of PPE as well as working with IPT to support with further auditing
The post holder will also need to have excellent customer care to provide a professional, reliable and consistent service. The post includes being able to communicate with staff members at all levels of the organisation in an appropriate and sensitive manner, supporting the Trust code of confidentiality.
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.
