NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a permanent part time post for 33 hrs. Shift pattern: Mon – Thu: 08.30 – 16.30 + Fri: 8.30am -11.30am
The post holder will be part of a small specialist HSCP Glasgow City parenting team delivering accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective parenting support, advice and information to families in a variety of settings within their local community.
Adopting a community development approach to their practice, the post holder will work effectively in partnership with internal and external colleagues, individuals, local community groups, and other agencies. They will work in partnership to identify, plan, promote and deliver flexible, tailored and accessible Triple P Positive Parenting Programme support responding to the individual parenting needs of families.
It is highly desirable that the post holder has previously been trained in Triple P Positive Parenting Group and Discussion Group Triple P Positive Programmes (0-12 and /or teen model) to support their role in the delivery of evidence based parenting support across Glasgow City. Training can be provided to successful candidate.
Qualifications must include the minimum of HNC or Equivalent in a relevant discipline with experience, knowledge, understanding and skill base of working with children and families, parents/carers.
The post holder must have a sound knowledge and understanding of the principles and values of parenting support approaches.
Be highly motivated and enthusiastic in their approach to their practice and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective collaborative working relationships to support and improve outcomes for families.
