Job description
Job Location: Paisley (Hybrid - 1 day a week in office)
Salary: £37,014 per annum
Hours: 35 per week
Contract Type: Fixed term contract (maternity cover up to 12 months)
A day in the life of a HR Adviser will involve:
- Providing quick and accurate responses to HR Assistant's escalated enquiries, keeping managers informed if immediate response is not possible.
- Discussing and investigating issues with peers, Line Manager, or Expert Services for further guidance when needed.
- Logging cases and updating the enquiry log for detailed guidance required by line managers.
- Identifying opportunities to update online advice and guidance, or suggest improvements where necessary.
- Agreeing on resolution timeline with the relevant line manager for handling cases and provide regular updates.
- Offering knowledgeable support in line with policies and legal requirements, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Reviewing case load with Head of People Operations to ensure progress and determine additional support if required.
- Implementing agreed outcomes by obtaining necessary authority, completing accurate paperwork, and scheduling further actions or communications.
- A relevant qualification in HR or equivalent experience. It's important to be familiar with case handling, effective communication, letter writing, and providing advice and guidance.
- To make sure you have a good understanding of employment law, HRIS usage, and strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in volunteer management, coaching, handling difficult conversations, and delivering excellent customer service is highly valuable.
- It would be great if you have experience as an HR generalist, dealing with various cases, promoting workforce diversity, and working in a Business Partnering model.
