Who we are looking for
The Housekeeper at N Family Club will create and maintain a clean and hygienic environment for our nursery team, parents and children each day.
Our newly acquired nursery in Moseley, Birmingham are looking for a Housekeeper to work 13:30pm - 6:30pm Monday - Friday (25 hours per week).
You should join us if:
- You have previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role
- You have good Knowledge of COSHH and understanding of Health and Safety best practices
- You are a passionate and caring person who loves working alongside children and families
- You are conscious of the use of hazardous materials in the nursery and how to work with them safely
- Ability to work in a fast paced and busy environment
- You have a positive outlook (someone who always sees the glass as half full)
- You have high energy brought to every task you take on, and a solutions driven approach to problems.
Day to day you will:
- Work in partnership with the Nursery team to provide high standards of cleaning to ensure the smooth running of the nursery each day
- Be welcoming to children, parents, staff and visitors at all times
- Ensure all communal areas, including the welcome areas and parent areas are well presented, attractive and inviting at all times
- Report any damage or faulty equipment immediately to the nursery management team and remove it if necessary
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of all bathrooms and nappy changing areas throughout the day
- Report to the front of house any cleaning provisions required (within budget);
- Carry out daily laundry duties as required
- Ensure cleaning products and materials are appropriate for a nursery environment and stored and used in line with COSHH guidelines
- Take in deliveries and distribute through the nursery
- Promote good hygiene standards throughout the nursery, encouraging good hygiene alongside the nursery team.
