Job description
As part of our reception team you will warmly welcome our guests to the hotel. You are the 'hub', the 'go to' person for quesries any queries and questions our customers may have, and believe me, they can be diverse!. Always keen to please and to make every effort to accommodate their needs. Obviously there is the administrative stuff, checking them in and out, answering calls, taking reservations and handling cash and banking. That bit may not be quite so interesting but a understanding of using computors or a similar role will help - we'll train you to do the rest.
The bit we can't train is the warmth, the smile, the willingness to learn and the caring attitude you need. Those personalities need to be seen through a phone or e-mail and that's the bit we need you to bring with you from day one.

Duties will include:
- Welcoming customers, checking them in and settling them into their rooms.
- Taking enquiries, reservations, administration of the reception desk
- Receiving compliments about the great views and the great service.
- Prepare paperwork and banking.
- Accommodating requests form guests in a professional manner.
- Strive to anticipate customer needs and where possible react to theses to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Having fun, working with colleagues, chatting with guests, enjoying the great surroundings.

About Us
Stonefield Castle, built in 1837, is a beautiful example of Scottish baronial architecture. The Castle retains most of its original character with spectacular exterior cornice's and mouldings. The interior also contains a variety of its original features from wood panelling to ornate ceilings and marble fireplaces.
Here at Stonefield Castle our surroundings are on a par with the Castle itself with 60 acres of spectacular woodland gardens and the shores of Loch Fyne enveloping us. We are also based just two miles from one of the most attractive villages on the Mull of Kintyre peninsula, the picturesque fishing village of Tarbert.
Inside we have 38 en suite bedrooms which have each been individually and elegantly decorated, some featuring breath-taking views over the gardens and Loch Fyne.
