We are looking for a keen, motivated individual to fill the role of Highways Enforcement Officer within our Highways and Capital Delivery Service. The ideal candidate will have either suitable qualifications or appropriate work-related experience in Highways and/or Civil Engineering. The post holder will be placed in our Streetworks Team and will undertake duties which will ensure that the statutory reposnsibilities of the Council are met and, that powers are exercised lawfully.
This post involves visiting mutliple sites on a daily basis; however, the successful applicant will also be expected to work on a hybrid basis, working from home and in one of our Huyton offices when required, as part of an expanding multi-disciplinary team of officers and engineers working collaboratively, supporting each other and sharing knowledge as necessary to deliver successful schemes for the benefit of Knowsley’s local communities and the wider Liverpool City Region. Flexible working will be required, which may on occasion, result in working from home, different offices or on site, as appropriate.

You will need either BTEC ONC or HNC in Civil Engineering, or other related/equivalent Highways qualification and a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (must include English and Mathematics) or any equivalent qualification and or be working towards a relevant Civil Engineering of Highways related qualification.
