Job description
We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic clinical or counselling psychologist to provide a highly specialist service for young people in the Borough of Greenwich within our adolescent team.
The role provides opportunities for crisis intervention, brief and long-term therapeutic work. The team also provides teaching and in-reach consultation to Greenwich Social Care and the Youth Offending Service. There are also other opportunities for working alongside our partner agencies. The team works within an Adaptive Mentalization based Integrative Treatment (AMBIT) a systemic framework providing a team approach for working with the client, the team, the family and professional networks. In addition to the team’s links with our partner agencies part of the post involves having a lead self-harm role delivering consultation and training to external agencies and conducting audit.
As a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist in Greenwich CAMHS you will have a balanced job plan which meets both the needs of the service and your own developmental needs and interests. We have guaranteed funding for further training attached to the post to include either EMDR, MBT-A or another evidence-based therapy training required by the service. Specialist supervision will be available to support practice during and after training.

Greenwich CAMHS is part of Oxleas C&Y.P Directorate. The Trust provides mental health, learning disabilities and community services to the London Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, and Greenwich. The Trust has consistently achieved high ratings in quality assessments, patient and staff surveys with a culture of supporting staff whilst providing excellent services within a robust clinical governance framework.

Psychology Discipline
The post-holder will also be part of a large psychology team within Greenwich CAMHS that offers excellent support, supervision, and opportunities for continued professional development. CPD opportunities linked to PDR and funded by Psychological Therapies Department.
