Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Contact potential and existing clients to generate profitable sales.
- Process customer bookings to meet commitments and maintain proactive customer contact.
- Complete job costing and quotations.
- Maintain a log of quotations issued, won, under negotiation, lost, and reasons if lost.
- Alert management of any concerns or issues promptly.
- Utilize in-house computer systems and complete general administrative duties.
- Use your knowledge and skills to grow with the business.
Skill Requirements:
- Fearless on the phone and able to work in a methodical manner.
- Motivated by realistic targets and measurements.
- Clear and positive telephone approach, engaging clients and generating interest in our services.
- Initiative-driven to generate sales.
- Willingness to take responsibility and make decisions when necessary.
- Computer literate, numerate, and effective in written communication.
- Sales experience in a business-to-business environment with strong administrative skills.
- Accurate work and ability to meet deadlines.
Desirable Advantages:
- Knowledge of the transport industry (willingness to learn is important).
- Understanding of international truck driving regulations to assist sales performance.
- Fluency in one or more West European languages.
- Desire to build on experience and develop beyond the advertised role in due course.
