Job description

As a member of IT projects team, the post holder will provide project management services to the ITC Department in the delivery of the Trusts strategic and digital transformation programmes. They will work across the Trust managing a range or project work streams ensuring the successful delivery of the required products, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints. The post holder is responsible for producing result that are capable of achieving the benefits defined within the Business Case and the Project Initiation Document. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST To support the IT Programme & Senior IT Projects Manager in meeting organisational objectives by co-ordinating and delivering projects within the IT department Lead in collaboration with management colleagues, the identification of service development needs required to meet the Trusts strategic and digital objectives producing effective solutions to address them To be responsible for the management and successful delivery of projects and work streams, within the IT programme portfolio to the required quality and standard Liaise project teams to produce documentation needed to deliver the assigned projects or workstreams Support the organisation in business process change and service improvement planning To effectively lead communication of projects benefits, justification and progress to all stakeholders Raise awareness to support the delivery of projects To liaise with the department across the Trust and external organisations when delivering projects Communication The post holder must be able to demonstrate that they are an effective communicator at all levels through: Able to work at all levels in the organisation Give presentations to large and small audiences Excellent listening skills Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal Excellent inter-personal skills Effective leadership and negotiating skills Able to develop cooperation with other teams involved in IT projects or any other initiative where connections can be made to support/enable project delivery.

Able to present to colleagues at all levels across the Trust about the scope, content and timescales associated with IT plans or projects. Develops relationships with key contacts and proactively manages these relationships such that members can count on reliable and knowledgeable support and information about the project or other activities. Prepare clear, timely project progress reports and circulate to appropriate stakeholders Communicate with a range of stakeholders including, directors, manager, clinicians, administration staff and commissioners. Form effective working relationships with departments within the Trust and external agencies.

Share appropriate project information with staff from other departments and work alongside other organisations to ensure cohesive teamwork. To attend, take minutes or lead meetings ensuring an accurate reflection of meetings are recorded. Analytical and Judgemental Skills/ Freedom to Act The post-holder will need to analyse, interpret and compare data and processes across the organisation through: - Deal with a range of situations requiring analysis, decision making or judgements, in relation to project deliverables. Work collaboratively with the IT Programme & Senior IT Projects Manager to ensure projects are achieved as defined and agreed.

Challenge existing practices, ensuring that progressive solutions and considering models of best practice when delivering projects or workstreams. Intervene as necessary, in order to remain on plan, escalate in a pro-active manner, problem solve or resolve through effective communication. To ensure information is gathered from all appropriate sources and synthesised, analysed and reported on regarding projects being undertaken and presented to senior managers as requested. To build and develop collaborative working relationships with stakeholders within Partnership Trust and other external agencies.

The post holder is expected to actively support the aims and values, policies and procedures of Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust. Work within standardised project management processes. Have the ability to set timescales and manage project milestones ensuring overall project completion. Deliver Trust cross-cutting projects as required ensuring appropriate engagement of stakeholders throughout.

Assist in the creation and implementation of a needs analysis for developments within IM&T Planning and Organisational Skills The post-holder will be required to organise and arrange numerous activities including implementing new ways of working, capacity planning and formulating and adjoining plans with strategies through: Ensure that the project deliverables are understood and are aligned to strategic aims Create and deliver project plans detailing milestones, timescales, risks and stakeholders Apply skills and knowledge to react to unplanned situations that may affect project delivery e.g. risks Take an active role in developing policies and procedures and proposing changes as and when required. Contribute to the development and continual improvement of the processes and systems of work within the IT department. Create and deliver presentations to support project activity To actively seek opportunities to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Directorate and the service it provides.

Ensure appropriate sharing of information with other stakeholders within the project at the right time
