HR Project Manager FTC
London, Birmingham or Bristol – hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 wherever.
Delivering the people programmes needed to support the business needs, strong project management capability, governance and collaboration with the business and HR colleagues. This role is critical in supporting Networks, Corporate Units, and Global Business Services (GBS) to plan and deliver people-related transformation programmes successfully, whilst helping us to maintain a brilliant colleague experience.
Specifically, this role is being brought in to manage a critical business programme which is ensuring we have the right job architecture and classification systems for all our colleagues within the portfolio, aligned with the BT Group strategy. As such, in addition to managing the project, this role will conduct job analysis and sizing activities, including:
- Conducting in-depth research about professions and job descriptions.
- Analysing and reviewing tasks, knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics and requirements relevant to the job to articulate a clear job description.
- Working with employee relations and understanding the dynamics of working with a large, unionised workforce where some of the job architecture changes may cause conflict.
- Being the technical liaison between the business, HR business partners, Employee Relations, and Reward.
You will play a pivotal part in gathering information about jobs through interviewing managers and colleagues, observing performance in certain tasks, and collecting further information about a job from other sources to be able to size roles aligned with the job architecture framework.
What are we looking for in our HR Project Manager?
- Project manage a strategic HR programme to implement and align the job architecture framework across the portfolio.
- Analysing, aligning, and sizing jobs.
- Create project management and transition plans to implement the changes (engaging with HRBP, PMO & comms team).
- Programme/project delivery to time, cost, and quality.
- Design and conduct business readiness and change impact analysis to ensure successful planning and delivery of change.
- Deliver against change and project KPIs as defined for each project and programme.
- Supports and equips business leaders and line managers for the implementation of new job architecture programmes.
- Ensuring the colleague experience is personal, simple and brilliant in the execution of change projects.
- Works collaboratively across the Corporate Units HR team, central HR Centres of Expertise, the Internal Communications team and other Corporate Units teams to enable change to be delivered.
What experience is required for our HR Project Manager?
- Delivery of business projects with a high degree of people change or a background or experience in generalist HR, Employment Relations, or Reward.
- Experience in sound decision-making, clearly articulation of the rationale and being able to engage people on the journey.
- Demonstrates an understanding of change management and how to support teams to manage and deliver lasting change.
- Can quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships.
- Applying data-driven analytics to drive insight-led people transformation activities.
- Experience with job analysis and/or role sizing – desirable.
- An accredited project management qualification – desirable.
- Experience working with Unions / large, unionised workforce – desirable.
- Experience with job analysis and/or role sizing.
