If so we have an exciting developmental opportunity for you in adult Critical Care. Whether you are an experienced healthcare support worker (HCSW) or just starting out, our HCSW role will help you to take the next steps in your healthcare career.
Critical Care comprises of three units that often work closely to meet our patient’s needs. They are NCCU, JVF D3 ICU and D4 ICU. We care for a variety of complex critically unwell surgical, medical, neuro and trauma patients from across the region.
As a HCSW within critical care, you will be instrumental in supporting the registered nurses and multidisciplinary team with delivering high quality, compassionate care.
Band 2 HCSWs who have not completed their Band 3 competencies can apply to this vacancy. You will be paid and working as a Band 2 HCSW until you complete your band 3 HCSW competencies.
Main duties of the job
To assist in promoting patient care and other departmental duties, that support the clinical team in providing a safe and efficient environment suitable for caring for critically ill patients.
