An excellent opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistants to join The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be a valued member of our team. You are required to be flexible and adaptable to meet the ever changing needs of the unit environment. Our aim is to provide our patients with the highest quality of personal care and support while they are in hospital. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for working under delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Successful candidates will attend the GROW Programme this is the QEHKL enhanced induction programme. This includes mandatory training (the training that all clinical staff at the hospital complete), you will be taught the fundamental skills you need to perform your role and attend the Caring with Kindness programme (essential learning from patient experience). The course is very practical – you will have plenty of time to practice new skills before you start your new role. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Support Workers to join our teams and support them in providing effective care in a safe and therapeutic environment. You will attend a comprehensive induction programme and will be supported to complete the care certificate. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) King’s Lynn is located near some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, along the north Norfolk coast, and not far from Sandringham House. We provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based healthcare services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire. We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers, approximately 530 beds, and a helipad for air ambulances. We work with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services, including as part of regional partnership and network models of care, such as the trauma network. In February 2022 the significant progress that has been made at QEH was recognised by the Care Quality Commission who rated the Trust as ‘Good’ in all of the core services they inspected.
