Job Introduction

Are you a thoughtful and dedicated Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker based in the Dartford/Gravesend area? Are you looking to join an NHS Health and Social Care partner which is striving to make positive changes?

As a Healthcare Assistant you’ll join a team who are focused on exceeding the needs of patients within our inpatient wards, based at Sapphire Unit based at Gravesham Community Hospital. This is a full time opportunity to join a team where you can really make a difference to the patients within our ward.

Main Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Assistant with previous experience working in a community service or hospital setting, you will provide an impeccably high standard of care to local service users and will support with:

  • Assisting individual patients with elements of basic nursing care and the implementation of nursing care programmes under the direction of a registered nurse
  • Contribute to the on-going support of service users and their relatives
  • Supporting Nurses with clerical duties and record keeping as required.
The Ideal Candidate

You will have experience as a Healthcare Assistant; and you will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.

The work is varied and interesting. Striving to successfully provide healthcare can be both challenging and rewarding and our services are developing to meet the needs of the local population.
