Are you a residential support worker looking for your next step up? This could be the role for you:

About the service:

This service provides support for 12 young adults with learning and physical disabilities who require support in every aspect of life. Based in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne you will help organise and support the service users in a variety of leisure activities including attending swimming, football matches, eating out, pubs, cinema, bowling, and shopping.

About you:

The successful candidate will be an experienced support worker with:

· Experience Leading a team.

· A flexible and person-centred approach to care.

· Experience in a residential setting.

· A team centred mentality.

· Ability to adapt to evolving situations.

· Excellent communication skills.

· An NVQ level 3 in care is desirable but not essential.

What you will do:

Your job role will involve:

· Delegating workloads and responsibilities in accordance with support plans.

· Acting as shift lead and direct staff to tasks within their job descriptions.

· Facilitating and taking part in debriefs and promoting reflective working practice.

· Ensuring a safe and stimulating home environment for the residents.

· Following risk assessments and being aware of risks to residents.
