Health, Safety & Compliance Manager

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking to take the next step in your career?

In this hands-on role you will support our 8 hotels and venues in the De Vere Group in meeting their statutory objectives in relation to health and safety, compliance and risk management.

The base location for this role is within the De Vere support functions offices at De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor, with frequent travel across all properties in the portfolio with occasional overnight stays.

The role reports to De Vere's Head of Property Management, with regular direct communication with the Chief Operating Officer.

As the Health, Safety & Compliance Manager you will:
  • Promote and coordinate De Vere's health, safety and environmental activities to ensure compliance with legislation and external audits.
  • Ensure statutory and best practice policies and procedures are implemented across all properties.
  • Undertake departmental and full property audits, routine inspections and investigations covering Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Food Safety and Leisure safety.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience within a similar role ideally covering larger event focussed properties/sites given the size and scale of our portfolio
  • Qualified to, or working towards, NEBOSH General Certificate or other recognised Health & Safety Certification (or a willingness to do so, sponsored by De Vere)
  • Sound knowledge of all relevant legislation including: licensing, health & safety at work, COSHH, environmental health, fire precautions, manual handling and any other relevant policies.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
