Salary: £24,000 - £26,500 per annum

Location: Sheffield

Type: Permanent // Full Time

Overview of the Graduate Engineer

2Fawcett is recruiting for a Graduate Engineer for a company based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate engineer to start their career or for a graduate with a small amount of commercial experience. The role will include a variety of responsibilities and the company will provide great progression for the right candidate.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Graduate Engineer

  • Responsible for product design, integration, development to ensure that project schedules are adhered to
  • Manage progress and highlight any areas of concern to manage customer expectations.
  • Support colleagues in technical and commercial negotiations.
  • Oversee / perform 3D modelling and associated design work
  • Undertake technical calculations
  • Ensure designs meet project cost constraints
  • Oversee engineering resources, internal and external to suit project requirements
  • Visit sites when required to attend meetings and monitor progress
  • Take on other adhoc requirements

Requirements of the Graduate Engineer

  • Degree similar in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in 2D and 3D CAD (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor & PLM experience a plus).
  • Good communication skill
  • A team player
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability looking at overall results and finer details
  • Self-motivated.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft programmes; in particular, Word formatting and overall documentation presentation skills.
  • Planning skills, on-time delivery of assignment

Please note that to be considered:

  • You must have a Mechanical Engineering, Electrical engineer or electro-mechanical engineering degree.
  • You must already be situated local to Sheffield as this is an ASAP start and requires being in the office
