We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to provide frontline healthcare services to patients, ensuring that they are given the best care possible. A successful candidate will have a background in providing medical assistance and be conversant in relevant medical terminology. We're looking for someone who is energetic, compassionate, and has strong communication skills. The Healthcare Assistant will be responsible for assisting patients with daily tasks, such as administering medication and helping with grooming and personal hygiene

What Does a Care Giver Do?

  • Provide friendly companionship and emotional support.
  • Assisting with personal care such as, bathing, dressing and, when necessary, continence support.
  • Support with medication administration as and when the client needs it.
  • Help with preparing and cooking nutritious meals when required.
  • Household chores by keeping on top of the washing and dusting for a clean and tidy home.
  • Assisting with tasks such as shopping or picking up prescriptions.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a basic understanding of health care practices and procedure.
  • Apply this knowledge to help patients with routine health care tasks and procedures.
  • Provide simple humanitarian care to patients.

Our healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to help deliver world-class medical care in a team environment. The Healthcare Assistant will need to be a self-starter and possess excellent communication, interaction and caring skills. He or she will also need to be comfortable with using confidential information appropriately and be able to work well with facility staff, patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Perform general clerical duties and paperwork.
  • Administer medication to patients.
  • Provide basic first aid and other emergency care to patients.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of common diseases, their causes, and treatments.
  • Perform basic lab work.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary: £11.00 per hour

  • Weekend availability
