We are Recruiting for Temporary Civil Enforcement Officers in Skegness on a fixed term contract running from April – October 2023. However, there may be a real prospect of the contract becoming permanent.
Civil Enforcement Officers are an important part of the local community. You will be responsible for ensuring that all drivers follow parking policies on public streets and in car parks. You will make sure emergency vehicle access is not blocked and the road is safe for all members of the public!
What you will do:
- Patrol public streets and local council car parks to ensure that car parking regulations are being followed.
- Record and issue Penalty Charge Notices.
- Check parking meters and car park equipment and report damage or faults.
- Report defective signs and road markings, identifying and reporting abandoned vehicles.
- Explain rules to motorists and advise them about parking facilities.
- Ensure car parks and their facilities are clean, tidy and satisfactory
What you will bring:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good spoken and written English
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Be experienced or the desire to work outdoors.
- The resilience – as you could be walking quite long distances on patrol.
- Hold a Full UK Drivers Licence - Essential.

£1000 retention bonus
- Shifts are 45 hours per week over 5 shifts. 1 shift per week will be until midnight the other 4 shifts will be daytime hours notified in advance. You will be provided with full training and uniform.
Retention Bonus T&Cs - There will be a £1,000 retention bonus paid at the end of your employment subject to the following criteria:
- You do not leave the role prior to the end of the fixed term contract.
- You have no, or minimal absence during this time.
- If there is a permanent contract offered to you at the end of the fixed term you will no longer be eligible for the retention bonus. You will be given a permanent role instead.
