Health Care Assistant

We are currently seeking Care Assistants to join our team in Leicester where you will be working in our care home. Our services support elderly residents, promote their independence, help them with their everyday needs whilst ensuring their dignity and privacy is respected.
Job Description
As a healthcare assistant you will be constantly interacting with the residents in order to assist them with daily living tasks, whilst ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are followed.
Your duties will include assisting residents with personal hygiene related tasks, assisting residents during meal times, helping other healthcare assistants whenever required, developing care plans and completed checks, ensuring the residents are happy and comfortable in their day to day lives and more.
A typical day as a Health Care Assistant
A healthcare assistant plays an extremely important role within the life of our service users.
You will assist service users get in/out of bed and support them with all their personal care. This will include dressing, washing, bathing and providing oral hygiene care. Service users will also expect you to assist them during meal times. This can range from assisting them to and from the dining table or even feeding them.
Service users may want to enjoy some quiet time in their room or the lounge but will love to join in with any fun activities that will be on offer on the day. You will participate in any activity plan and have warm and meaningful conversations with the service users.
Throughout the day you will assist service users with other personal care tasks. You will be able to read care plans and corresponding risk assessments to safely meet their needs.
You will help service users maintain their independence and protect their dignity whilst ensuring they are given maximum choice of how they wish to be cared for.
You will make a huge difference to our lovely service users and will quickly become a special part of their beautiful life.
