Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
An opportunity has arisen within Ward 9, UHH for a full time band 2 HCA. Preferred applicants would have previous experience of working within an acute cardiology ward and an understanding of the complexities of the patients needs. This is a rotational dayshift/nightshift post.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine personal care/assist with routine examination duties for patients, in support of (and supervised by), a registered nurse/clinician. The post holder will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.
The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward/department environment.
Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
Required to undertake on the job training and induction.
Undertake mandatory HCSW standards.
Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
