Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking for a rewarding career in care? Crossgate Care Home is currently seeking a Care Assistant / Healthcare Assistant / Caregiver to join our team. Our care home is committed to providing exceptional care and ensuring that our Service Users feel supported and dignified at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist Service Users with daily living tasks, maintaining their comfort and dignity.
2. Support those facing mobility or learning challenges.
3. Monitor Service Users, particularly those with behavioral issues.
4. Promote continence and provide end-of-life care when required.
5. Participate in social activities, encouraging Service Users' hobbies and interests.
6. Respond to Nurse Call system requests and provide necessary assistance.
7. Create a welcoming environment by offering refreshments and assistance as needed.
8. Maintain a clean and organized Care Centre for the wellbeing of Service Users.
9. Manage Service Users' personal and financial affairs with integrity.
10. Report changes in Service Users' condition to the Home Manager or Person in Charge.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Genuine interest in working with the relevant Service User group.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Team player with a collaborative approach.
- Satisfactory Policy Check and check against the PoVA list.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative.
- Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programme.
- Previous experience with the relevant Service User group desired.
- NVQ Level 2 in Care preferred.
