Job description

Health & Safety Advisor

The Health & Safety Advisor will provide ongoing health and safety support to site-based operations, including the production of construction phase health and safety plans, risk assessments and methods statements. Working closely with site management teams and technicians, you will champion HSEQ initiatives monitoring site safety performance ensuring compliance with ISO45001 Safety, Quality and Environment Management systems, company policies and procedures.

Additionally, you will:

· Perform accident / incident reports and investigations

· Support the company induction process rolling out training to new starters

· Conduct regular refresher training sessions and maintaining accurate training records

· Compile statistics and reports as part of monthly performance reviews

· Organise and deliver health and safety meetings and training courses for employees

· Liaise with group and relevant external health and safety authorities

· Keep up to date with latest developments including legislative developments relating to health and safety at work

The successful applicant will be:

  • Passionate about Health, Safety, Environment & Quality
  • An effective communicator at all levels with client facing experience
  • A technically aware team player with experience providing health and safety support in the construction and building services sectors
  • IT literate with proficient report writing skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH general certificate, or equivalent
  • CSCS Professional card
  • First aid training

Remuneration:

This is a grade 7A role with the following benefits:

· Salary Range £36,000 to £42,000 / annum (dependant on experience)

· Fully Expensed Company Car with fuel card or Car Allowance of £6,600 / annum

· Holidays 29 days holiday per annum (including 8 statutory holiday days) rising by 1 day for each year of service up to a maximum 33 days / annum.
