Automatic Gate and Barrier Engineer.

Overview:

The Automatic Gate and Barrier Engineer is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various gates, barriers and access control systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical work and a desire to learn new skills. Sheffield Autogates offers a competitive salary, benefits, and a great working environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain automatic gates and barriers and other related components.
• Troubleshoot and repair automatic gates, barriers and access control systems.
• Maintain records of work performed and equipment repaired or replaced.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Must be able to work overtime occasionally as needed.
• Must be able to operate within a team and individually.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience of installing, testing, troubleshooting.
• Experience of multiple makes and models.
• Troubleshooting and fault finding knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of installing IP entry system (e.g. Paxton) would be a plus.
• Electrically Certified.
• Gate installation NVQ, Gate safe or DHF Qualifications. Preferred but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £30,000.00 per year
