Automatic Gate and Barrier Engineer.
Overview:
The Automatic Gate and Barrier Engineer is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various gates, barriers and access control systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical work and a desire to learn new skills. Sheffield Autogates offers a competitive salary, benefits, and a great working environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain automatic gates and barriers and other related components.
- Troubleshoot and repair automatic gates, barriers and access control systems.
- Maintain records of work performed and equipment repaired or replaced.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and management.
- Must be able to work overtime occasionally as needed.
- Must be able to operate within a team and individually.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience of installing, testing, troubleshooting.
- Experience of multiple makes and models.
- Troubleshooting and fault finding knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of installing IP entry system (e.g. Paxton) would be a plus.
- Electrically Certified.
- Gate installation NVQ, Gate safe or DHF Qualifications. Preferred but not essential.
