Job description
Griffin Chartered Accountants are looking for a well organised individual to join the firm’s bookkeeping department. The role will be based in our Honiton or Exeter office. There is no previous experience required and training will be given, this post could support an AAT level 2 apprentice qualification if this was suitable for the candidate.
The role would involve doing the bookkeeping and VAT returns for a number of our clients. This would mainly be done using Xero cloud based software.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining purchase ledgers
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing VAT returns
- Preparation of sales invoices
- Preparing supplier payment runs
As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will work directly with the clients to maintain their financial records. Therefore, good interpersonal skills and organisation are both key. The vacancy is full time, but part time could be considered for the right candidate.
