Safer Scotland Ltd are seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to join our Senior Management Team.
Safer Scotland Ltd are a young but well established and rapidly growing technology focused security business, with strong capabilities in the development and deployment of CCTV systems for temporary and remote sites. We work with some of the biggest names in construction, rail and civil engineering to secure their flagship projects from start to finish. You would be joining at an exciting time as we embark on the development of new products and the implementation and execution of ambitious growth plans of which you would play a pivotal role.

Our team of CCTV Engineers and Front Line Security Officers are the heart of what we do and we understand the importance in making them feel valued, part of the journey and working with a clear understanding of the important role they play in our success.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Operational Processes are efficient, compliant and produce an excellent outcome for the client repeatedly.
- Managing and providing support to the companies team of CCTV Engineers.
- Building and testing security equipment as and when required.
- Dealing confidently with customer queries.
- Reporting on Operational performance and taking part in monthly senior management meetings.
- Developing and Ensuring Compliance with Installation and Maintenance procedures/gold standards.
- Controlling the installation and engineering diary.
- Ensuring our team of Engineers have the correct information and equipment to complete their assigned Jobs.
- Liaising with the engineers and sales department to ensure the business holds optimum stock to meet demand and customer expectations.
- Responsible for ensuring company vehicles and equipment are kept in good order and maintained as necessary.
- Ensuring effective people management such that our people are enthused and able to thrive in our business.
- Leading the operations department and engaging with staff to create a positive environment.
- Monitoring service standards to ensure we and our supply chain exceed client expectations, so we earn our clients repeat business and long term trust.
- The implementation of electronic workforce management systems.
- The development and implementation of operational policies.
- Understanding and operating to an audited ISO 9001 QMS.
Required Experience and Knowledge
- Excellent management/leadership experience.
- Proven experience in a developing the Operational standards and processes of a growing business in a small business environment.
- Experience managing a team of Engineers or similar.
- Experience working in the security industry is strongly preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
- Engineering qualification or similar.

- A solid commercial understanding with an ability to understand operational P&L.
- Fluent in the use of Microsoft IT packages including outlook, Excel, Word, Etc
- Dynamic - able to question the status quo and identify improvement opportunities in how operations are conducted.
