Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an amazing new opportunity to be part of a fun and friendly team?
We have an exciting new vacancy within our Operational HR team, partnering with the Chief Operating Officer (Education) and reporting to the Group HR Director. You will be a positive influence within the team, creating a true partnership with the Regional Senior Leadership Team.
You will have responsiblity for managing a team of HR Professionals, implementing the HR strategy for the division with particular focus on retention, wellbeing, colleague engagement / experience, reward and recognition, performance management and driving company culture and behaviours.
This role supports 35 schools and colleges nationwide and there will be a requirement to visit these on a regular basis.
Some of the things you will be involved in include:
- Using HR data (soft intelligence and hard factual intelligence) to support the Group HRD to inform and implement HR strategy working alongside senior management / directors
- Lead, coach and develop the Operational HR Team. Ensuring the delivery of a credible generalist HR service to People Managers
- Enable best practice ensuring cost effective, resilient human resource and development solutions to fully support the needs of the business
- Work within and apply key business drivers to people management strategies including wellbeing, engagement and retention
- Ensure that managers and colleagues are fully aware of HR policies and procedures, upskilling people managers and building leadership capability
- Keep all colleagues informed of key organisational issues supporting the Communications team and the Active Colleague Engagement (ACE) Forums
- Drive a company culture that colleagues will want to belong to, including the Company EVP and behaviours, incorporating IQ, Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and EBDI
- Supporting a flexible approach to workforce planning including talent mapping, growing internal talent and non-standard working patterns
- Build a colleague experience based on key Moments that Matter in a colleague’s employment lifecycle.
What are we looking for?
- Previous multi-site experience at a similar scale to that required for this role
- CIPD Chartered Member or equivalent experience
- Experience in people and organisational people strategy development
- Previous experience of managing a group of professional colleagues
- Evidenced commercial and business acumen
